For those travelling by public transport, there will be a free bus transfer organised from Ljubljana on Thursday afternoon (approx. at 16.00 - the exact time will be known later) and back to Ljubljana or the airport on Sunday morning after the conference. Please indicate your wish to use this option on your registration form or send an email to info@iatefl.edus.si

Getting to the venue

It is really easy to get to Hotel Vesna in Topolšica by car. You can find the distances (how far it is from all parts of Slovenia) and directions on their website:

But even if you are travelling by public transport, you can't get lost.

By train

This would probably be the most comfortable and also the cheapest way.

You get a train ticket to Šoštanj. You will then need to change trains in Celje, and transfer to the train in direction of Velenje. If you get off in Šoštanj, the train station is just east of the bus station, where you can get a bus to Topolšica every hour. The local bus turns around near the hotel, which is the last stop before going back to Šoštanj, so you can't miss where to get off at.

If you somehow miss the Šoštanj stop when on the train, you can still go to Velenje and find the first local bus stop, where you can hop on the same local bus as you would in Šoštanj, but it will cost you a bit more.

By bus

If you can't find a bus from your home town to Topolšica, it is best if you find a bus that goes to Šoštanj or Velenje and then change to the local bus as mentioned above. If that is not possible, then first go by bus to Celje, and from Celje you can transfer to another bus which goes to either Topolšica, Šoštanj or Velenje and continue on the local bus.

Local busses depart from Velenje to Topolšica every hour. Departures from Velenje are at approximately 20 minutes past every hour, from Šoštanj 20 minutes to every hour, and in Topolšica they are at 5 minutes past every hour.
